Carl Smith, former U.S. Army officer, nationally renowned motivational speaker, and President and Founder of Frederick Douglass Republicans, was special guest speaker at the Clermont County Tea Party meeting Tuesday evening at Holiday Inn Eastgate.    A  self-described Frederick Douglass Republican and conservative messenger, he says his mission is to carry the conservative message to minority voters and “turn values to votes in 2012 and beyond”. Clermont Tea Party Contrasts Dem’s Early Voting Rally

What happened to the Tea Party?…(They keep asking)  You don’t have to look any farther than Clermont County to find hundreds of people packed in  a standing room only meeting Tuesday evening for the last regular meeting before the November General Election.  The crowd was a sharp contrast to Democrat early voting “Sleep Out the Vote” turnout in downtown Cincinnati Tuesday – the pictures tell the story. Pictures – Volunteers Turn Out for Door Literature

A huge volunteer turnout in Warren County helped fill campaign literature bags on Wednesday evening.  The effort to stuff 12,000 campaign lit bags was spearheaded by Americans for Prosperity (AFP) and Warren County Tea Party.  For those who wonder what happened to the Tea Party, you don’t have to look any farther than the overwhelming response from those who gave their time.  The moniker, Totally Engaged Americans, was well-earned by those who volunteered. “We get the government we deserve”…..right?  This quote, attributed to French political philosopher, Alexis de Toqueville, must surely explain our current political class. From the lowliest township and city governments, to the highest echelons of our federal government – even international governing bodies – we see daily proof of the elitist ruling class run amok, spending taxpayers into oblivion.
